Some clarification about setting debates after round 1. Also no speaker point ties. We are using the 30 point APDA speaker scale, which is always tough to adapt to, at least for me. This House would criminalize depictions of the prophet Mohammed.

Several tournament announcements were made, as well as a call to participate in a comprehensive survey on the role of women in Canadian debate. Sounds like a pretty serious attempt to gather data about participation of women in Canadian debating societies. There is a link available on CUSID.net
