I’ve just learned that Josh Martin from La Verne believes he is always implied in the “This House” portion of the motions. Interesting to say the least. But possibly legitimate. Perhaps it makes more sense if you are from California? This is my attempt to spread more rumors on my blog.

This round and the next are closed adjudication. This House would require large online social networks to be controlled democratically by their users.

Good morning from Oxford Union! Things are running only a bit behind the printed schedule, but everyone has arrived on time for the most part. The continuously fluxuating tab has been settled – I have it on good authority that there are only 128 teams in the tab. Round 3:
This House would tax those who use expensive lawyers in order to fund state prosecutors and legal aid.

The last round of the night! Here’s a view from the old union library where I was judging. The other photo is not a student riot, but everyone going to round one with guides. Tomorrow there will be three prelims and a break to quarters, so quite the ambitious schedule. It will be a long day but hopefully some good competition!
